Question 1

How do you decide between selective, push back, drive-in, and pallet flow racking?

Accepted Answer

It comes down to SKU count, turn rate, and how much selectivity your picking process actually needs. Selective racking gives you 100% access and the lowest cost per position, while push back, drive-in, and pallet flow trade some selectivity for far higher density. During a free design consultation we model your pallet counts and throughput, then show what each system does to usable positions and aisle count before you commit.

Question 2

How much additional storage capacity can a redesigned layout realistically add?

Accepted Answer

Most facilities we work with in Central Kentucky gain 20-40% more pallet positions without touching the building. The gains usually come from tightening beam elevations to actual load profiles, using vertical space up to the sprinkler line, and reworking aisle placement. We put those numbers in a layout so you can see the before and after position counts side by side.

Question 3

What does your free warehouse design consultation include?

Accepted Answer

We review your pallet dimensions, weights, clear height, SKU velocity, and growth plans, then produce a CAD layout with recommended system types, beam levels, capacities, and pallet position counts. There is no charge and no obligation to buy. Most Lexington-area clients use the layout to build an internal business case before they ever request pricing.

Question 4

How is installation coordinated around our operations?

Accepted Answer

We schedule work in phases, off-hours, or by zone so your picking and shipping keep running. Layouts are sequenced so completed rows can be loaded while the next section goes up. Tell us your peak shipping windows early and we will plan around them.

Question 5

Is the racking anchored and configured to industry standards?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Racking is anchored, plumbed, and leveled to manufacturer specifications, and beam elevations are set to the approved layout. We confirm the finished configuration against the design so your rated capacities match what is actually installed.
